Magic. Effortless. Collateral Brand Expert. These words just skim my experience with Laurie Dallenbach, Dallenbach Art and Design. I went to Laurie with my previous business card and a brochure mock-up. I wanted a revamp of this card and to get help with a brochure that I would never print and put my name behind. Within two minutes of meeting me and looking at my material Laurie knew EXACTLY what was wrong with it and why I hesitated to move forward with this brand. The next steps were just as easy-selecting pictures, asking a copywriter for help, selecting colors, approving layouts, and asking others what they think. The resulting brochure and business card make me smile and glow every time I pass them out. "What a beautiful card." is usually the comment I get for the business card and "What a beautiful brochure, so warm and peaceful," is the comment for my brochure. We asked Laurie to help us design the graphics for our food truck, and while we had a few ideas in our heads, they were vague at best. Laurie is great to work with. I hired her to create materials for our annual lobby event in D.C. She created a logo, a 60-page booklet and six posters. All of the materials looked professional and consistent, and were very well received by the event participants. Especially the booklet, which was a full redesign of the previous years book to a much smaller size - upon receiving it at the event the entire crowd stood and applauded how much they loved it. In May of last year I hired Laurie to paint a very large mural in my restaurant. It was an original image, which was meant to incorporate local flare with national appeal. The concept was somewhat confusing but Laurie seemed to have a very clear idea in her mind. A few days later she presented her concept and it was perfect. Because of the size of the mural, I was concerned about her ability to get it done before we opened to the public, but Laurie was done on time and within budget. In summary, Laurie does fantastic work and is very professional. I would recommend her to anyone looking to add some true artistry to an interior or exterior space.
